Well I missed it and add the butter after the wet. then added too many frozne blueberries, making them really moist (but tasty!) they browned ok etc. but they were soft, like a triangular muffin. Make a well in center and add wet ingredients. Sprinkle on top of plain scones before baking and lightly press into the dough. Mix your dry ingredients; add the remaining ingredients (butter, milk, egg, cream…) called for in your chosen recipe above; then follow the directions to completion.

Even I have experiences making flat, dense and of course over done scones. Freezing unbaked scones: When the dough is made and patted into circles or cut into 8 wedges/circle, put on a cookie sheet and place, uncovered in the freezer. The dry ingredients are whisked together until combined and then the butter is cut in with pastry knives. Serve the puffs with the pizza sauce for dipping. Beat 2 large eggs in a separate bowl and add slowly to the lemon mixture, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon.
